CR-Computer Radiology

* Medic has brought Computer Radiology into use since December 1999 with the brand name of ACR Lumisys USA

* The principle : as well as the use of classic X-ray but instead of snapping on film, waiting for developing, drying and then the radiologist reads result; now we can radiograph with a very little x-ray (50%) on a film Phosphor (P) and then the pictures were taken out thanks to a scanner. Later on these pictures are digitized in computers and then we can have the pictures after 90 seconds. These pictures are saved in the computers for doctors read out the result, print or send result to internet.

It is a small portable x-ray machine, low level x-ray (50% in comparison with classic x-ray), it radiographing on the Phosphor

* The advantages of CR

1)    Low level of x-ray (decreasing 50%).
2)    Getting pictures immediately (90 seconds).
3)    Pictures are digitalized (Doctors can zoom out or in / adjust pictures contrast).
4)    Pictures are recorded into CD-Rom with JPEG, BITMAP format.
5)    It is easy for outdoor aid.
6)    Charge : it is a little expensive than classic x-ray.
